  Welcome to Long Key State Park and the fabulous Florida Keys, where the water is warm and the weather is amazing! Long Key offers great flats fishing with hiking and great Kayaking.

In addition to the Long Key Lakes Canoe Trail, the park offers two land-based nature trails for visitors to explore. The “Golden Orb Trail,” named after a native spider, is a leisurely 40-minute walk through several plant communities.

CAMPGROUND CLOSURE TENT ONLY,  Due to campground reconstruction, all reservations are close.

The park’s hike-in, tent-only campsites are sited along the Atlantic Ocean. Each tent site comes equipped with a picnic table, grill and hammock stand; there are no electric or water hookups. Restrooms with cold outdoor showers are available to campers. Well-behaved pets are welcome in the campground. Please call the park 305-664-4815  for details.

  Long Key sustained significant damage from Hurricane Irma in 2017, and efforts are continuing to restore the oceanfront campsites. The full-facility campsites were known for their views overlooking the aqua blue waters of the Florida Keys. Although construction to rebuild these sites is in progress, the park currently offers hike-in, tent-only campsites for guests to enjoy. Please contact the park for the most up-to-date information regarding restoration efforts.
