Silver Lake OHV Trailhead is located the in the Apalachicola National Forest. The forest is 632,890 acres offering  55 miles of mixed use 2 way trails (Atvs, ROVs and motorcycles trails yellow markers) and 56 miles of 2 way motorcycle only trails (white markers). The OHV trails out here are very sandy and have deep whoops on the dirtbike trails. This is not an easy ride if your a new rider on a dirtbike. Some of the trails have deep water after heavy rain.  It is a fun place to ride and does not seem to get to busy. At the Silver Lake trail head staging area/parking area is nice, part is paved other is gravel. It is easy to pull into with large trailers. This staging are is nice because there is a swimming area and good restrooms with showers also. There is no vending machines however there are gas stations within 2 miles of the entrance.
