Ocala National Forest OHV

(Campground Status for Big Scrub) Due to Hurricane Ian.       Ocala National Forest is over 380,000 acre forest with around 125 miles of trail which includes a 14-mile motorcycle-only trail; 35 miles of trail usable by motorcycles, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), and utility vehicles (UTVs) less than 50 inches wide; and 76 miles classified as “mixed use,” which means OHVs share the trail with licensed vehicles. Most of the trail system is very sandy. At the Centennial OHV trail head unlicensed vehicles less than 65 inches are allowed on the Ocala Centennial OHV Trail system. A 20-mph speed limit is enforced on this trail. with 47 miles of trails.

There are 2 campgrounds in Ocala National Forest offering direct access to the OHV trail system. Big Scrub Campground and Lake Delancy West Campground.At Big Scrub Campground the area fills up on the weekends. They do offer showers, restrooms and water you can drink. At Lake Delancy Campground there are 30 campsites for tents and smaller trailers. This campground also fills up fast on the weekends.
